The exalted bald eagle. The majestic condor. The … also respectable opossum. All of these forest friends and far more can become sick and die if they inadvertently eat lead shot. But you can do your part to conserve America’s wildlife by hunting or target shooting with this 28 Gauge ammunition by Winchester!  This shell’s 5/8 ounces of #6 shot aren’t made of lead – they’re made of steel. Winchester’s Xpert steel, to be exact, which is corrosion resistant in addition to nontoxic, highly spherical and immune to pattern-weakening deformation. And because steel’s density is lower than that of lead, this shell actually contains more shot pellets than a shell loaded with an analogous lead shot column. You’ll deliver even more pellets to your target that way, and that’s never a bad thing.  This round’s high 1,300 fps muzzle velocity helps its lightweight steel shot pellets arrive at their target with more deadly momentum. Its hinged wad is designed to soften felt recoil, and also features a full-length shot cup to prevent scratching of the barrel. This ammo is Winchester’s usual noncorrosive, clean-igniting and reloadable fine work.
