Description
The Smith & Wesson 586 revolver was first introduced in 1980 because law enforcement needed firearms that were heavier than the lightweight K-Frame models. This model is built on the L-Frame line that also includes models 581,681 and 686. The 586 is basically the same as the model 686. The model 586 is a single/double-action revolver, with a capacity of 6 rounds, and it shoots .357 Magnum and .38 Special ammunition. Thanks to the L-Frame grip, the accuracy and comfortability of this gun are at a high level. The grip is also a bit heavier, but manageable after all. Overall, this is a very versatile, lightweight, durable, accurate revolver, suitable for competitions, home defense, and even concealed carry, with simple operation, which also makes it recommended for beginners.
